Bzlmod: Fixing and Patching Breakages

I've published my sixth EngFlow blog post, about using patches to fix incompatibilities and breakges in dependencies that aren't yet Bzlmod compatible. Still need to get back to that "humanity" thing.

My sixth EngFlow Bzlmod blog post is about using patches to move forward with your own Bzlmod migration when a dependency isn’t yet Bzlmod compatible.

In other news, my work on making rules_scala Bzlmod compatible is very close to being finished. It’s taken longer than I expected, but I’ve gotten really helpful feedback along the way, leading to several high value improvements. That’s how the process is supposed to work. I’m optimistic that the end result will prove worth the wait.

In other other news, I realize I need to make good on that promise to myself to reconnect with my humanity. I was on a roll over the holidays, and for a little while coming back, but I’ve let that momentum slip away.

As always, feel free to comment on the LinkedIn announcement corresponding to this post or the Bzlmod Slack announcement in the #bzlmod channel.
